Building the FS12 from the "boat in a box" kit.
This tutorial will show the building of a FS12 using the pre-cut kit and the standard Marinepoxy epoxy/fiberglass kit. If you purchase the System Three Silvertip epoxy/fiberglass kit then you some steps will be easier. Both epoxy kits and the pre-cut parts may be purchased here.
Outline of build sequence:
- Assemble pieces and jig
- Stitching the hull
- Fiberglass outside of hull
- Fairing and priming the outside of the hull
- Building the inside
- Final finishing
All plywood parts will be clearly labeled. In this picture you see them laid out on the floor.
