Description
Meranti BS6566 Aquatek
- Meranti Plywood, 48″ x 96
- 1mm face veneers (before sanding.)
- Equal or nearly equal laminations.
- Water and boil proof (WBP) glue.
- Color range is dark to light reddish brown, face veneers are one-piece, grain tends to be fairly even and straight. The wood is harder, more rot-resistant than Okoume, and makes a stiffer slightly heavier panel. Good structural plywood particularly for bottoms and larger boats.
- Allows slightly thinner veneers and some filled end splits in the faces, but the same void-free core and WBP glue, a more affordable alternative for most applications.
