These are NidaPlast panels laminated with 18/10 (18oz. biaxial with 10oz. chop strand) fiberglass on both sides. The panels are easy to cut with hand tools. The panels can be used just as plywood panels but are lighter and stiffer. Ideal for soles (cockpit and cabin), decks, bulkheads and generally all boat interior parts where light weight, extra stiffness and insulation are critical. A 4×8′ 1/2″ panel weighs 26 lbs compared to 1/2″ Meranti with only one layer of 12 oz. biaxial on each side at 60 lbs.
NidaPlast will be shipped as full sheets by a freight shipping company. We may be able to cut full sheets into smaller pieces and ship via UPS Ground. Please call our office (772-742-8535) to discuss shipping options.
